I am working with version 12. How do I make the page longer with a scroll bar appearing on the right side?

The length is automaticly adjusted to content. You can set the minimum lenght in the template, step 2 , template style, main template structure, page contents.
A scroll bar will automaticly appear if the window your using to view the side is smaller then the website (this is a browser issue)
