Pixabay images - commercial use  en

It is written that images are free and can be used in web sites.

But  reading the terms at Pixabay - it sounds different for some picture types:

https://pixabay.com/en/blog/posts/public-domain-images-what-is-allowed-and-what-is-4/

Read here "Model- and Property Release".

"...herefore, identifiable people must give their consent for public usage of their images."

OR:

"... the so-called "Property Release". The object owner must give permission to use pictures of his/her belongings"

-> So it seems it is not 100% sure that images can be used for free.

How to contact from Software the Owner- there is no information about the picture.

Or - will Incomedia protect their licenced users, if they will get a problem because of using such images?

Even not sure, is this a problem for commercial sites only - as sample for "model release" ...

Please tell us something about this.

Thanks!

Michael

Hi,

this does not answer the question about the "how to contact the owner".

In Website X5 the image willbe included - without any ownlership - or any link to original Pixabay image information.

So I have no chance to find the user to contact him - because of missing original link.

You understand the problem now better?

Thanks!

Michael

Please read Claudio's reply carefully, where he advises contacting Pixabay directly, and describes how to do this using their comments section.

Ok, I will try - but I think it is not the right way.

Pixabay write:

"If you'd like to use pictures of that, the creators/owners must be asked for permission."

Anyway - I think it would be a good idea (maybe a *must*) to add this information to your "More than 400,000 royalty-free pictures and loads of apps: you 've got all the ingredients to create a work of art!"

This information maybe not correct for commercial sites.
Any *) with comment should there be, I think so.

BTW: how I find the original image name - to ask at Pixabay?
(see question above)

Hello Michael,

As long as you use these images in projects made with WebSite X5 there's no need to add request the usage for the image. This is only valid for the images you get from pixabay through the program interface with the pixabay function or from the images section here on answers.websitex5.com for projects made with WebSite X5. For any other use you need to follow the requirements on the pixabay website.

We have an agreement with Pixabay only for the use of the images in the projects made with WebSite X5.

Many thanks!

ok,

you say your agreement covers all "Model- and Property Release" issues of the pictures I will use inside the Website X5 projects (using the integrated picture manager).

Even if there are shown any people (faces) and/or buildings.

Please confirm - it is important for us to know, before to use it...

Thanks!

Michael
