Dear all,
I had a web on the one.com hosting. Now I need to change the hosting. I used the FTP ordinarily. I changed FTP address, username and pasword from my new provider. I gave the export of all files on Internet. Port 21. Simultaneous transmission. I used pasiv FTP. I gave the button next. Now I am not sure if I have to enter a path or not. I used both version. It looks like everything go good but when I click on the sign your websites are online I am on the right domain but there is still the old contents not new one.
Can you try to help me? i am not sure what I do bad.

Hello Irena,
If you have changed webhosts then you will need to change the nameservers for your domain to point to the new host.
This is not done in WebSite X5, nor even in your webhost control panel, but rather in the control panel of the registrar which you used to register your domain name.
If you give your domain registrar a link to this thread (https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/post/142581) then they will be able to assist you further.
Kind regards,
Paul

Hello Paul,
yes, I understand but I wanted in my first step my made web upload to an existing domain.I will try to explain:
-we had the domain www.ates.cz on the existing webhosting from our IT Technik in the Czech Republic.
-In the 2013 we bought the program website x5, then we used free webhosting from one.com with the domain www.ates-cz.cz
-now our boss decided that I have to upload the domain www.ates-cz.cz to an existing www.ates.cz and www.ates-cz.cz we will cancell.
-so I thought that I simply change the data FTP which gave me my existing web provider and I upload thia www.ates.cz
- It looked like everything go good but when I click on the sign your websites are online I am on the www.ates.cz domain but there is still the old contents not new one.
Cancellation old webhosting and domain www.ates-cz.cz I would like to do later.
Can you try to help me?

Hello again Irena,
You need to delete the previous index file from the server, and/or set the Directory Index to point to 'index.html' instead of 'index.php' - please compare the following two URL's:
http://www.ates.cz/index.php (your old site)
http://www.ates.cz/index.html (your new site)
You can set the Directory Index in your .htaccess file on your server using the following line:
DirectoryIndex index.html
But in any event I strongly recommend deleteing the old redundant files from the server, which should in itself rectify the problem.
