Please please please, there is so much work in this that i cannot lose it. When I click on the project to open it I get the following dialogue box asking me

The Specified Project is in use or hasn't been closed down properly. Do you want to continue and when I say OK

I get another dialogue box telling me

An eror occurred while loading the project.

[There is an error in the XML Document (2032086, 3.1).]

I made a duplicate to see if I could open this but no luck. Any ideas would be welcome. In real trouble here. Please help.

Hello Brian,

the only option is to restore the most recent backup of your project to test if this one can be opened. You can follow the steps in "how to restore a backup" described on:

http://help.websitex5.com/en/v12/evo/backup_ht.htm

Many thanks!

So Claudio what you're saying is that without a backup I can do nothing and there is nothing that Incomedia can do to help. All this work is lost and must be started again. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE COMPLETELY JOKING. Is there no way that Incomedia can peel from the website and recreate a folder, or if I was to send to them what is the website folder to see if they could open it.

To be honest this is not really good enough at all. Surely there is something other than starting again.

Hello Brian,

Did you check in the backup folder if you have any backup file of this project like explained in the link I wrote you?

Without a backup file unfortunately nothing can be done since the project file you have cannot be read and only a backup file can be opened.
It is important to make backups or at least enable the automatic backups created by the program so you will always have a file to recover the project.

Many thanks!
