I also can't download the trial version of 13. I've not had this problem with any other software installs. Is there something wrong with the website at the moment?

I'm sorry, where exactly did you look for the download link? Did you go into the ''download'' section in your control panel? Could you please show me what you see with a screenshot?
Did you click on the link then go into the 'page can not be displayed'? Could you please show this to me?
Where are you trying to download your version 13 from? We have not been informed about these issues from anyone else.

I'm downloading from the help centre on the official x5 website. You are correct that when clicking the download link it goes to the page can not be displayed box. Website x5 V13 is also from the official website. Please see attached images. 

This is the image for the download. I should point out that my internet is fine and i don't have this problem downloading from other sources. Is there an alternative way to download the files? Thanks.

thank you for the additional information and for the screenshots.
Could you please deactivate your antivirus and firewall while you download your program? They probably enterfere during the process.
