Is there a way to go back to the previous version? Ever since I did the most recent update I have had nothing but issues. Things arent saving, it crashes all the time, one of my pages freezes and I cannot add anything to it.
Gepostet am
That's strange, try to export the project in step5 and import the exported file and see if this helps.
If not you can go back but you need a backup project of the previous version to do that. you can't go back with an already in a newer version opend project.
If you have a an earlyer version then, whats importand to know is what previous version is it?

Unfortunately I probably do not have a back-up of the previous version. Nothing but issues with the most recent update - everytime I publish it takes hours because it is re-publishing every page and picture instead of just the changes. Hopefully it gets resolved soon - I use this program ALL DAY EVERY DAY and I cannot afford to have it be down.
It's best to make backups if you use it that intensive, surely when going to a new version i would advice to always make a backup of the project(s). But before that you need to get the correct x5 version from your download portal.
So make a backup of the program, save it with the version in it, then save your project there also, these two can help getting back to the previous version.
Once there is a new version the older download will not be available.
Hope this helps getting back to previous versions for you.
I always make a download when there is a new version, so I have made a collection in this way for previous versions. and before I upgrade the program I always backup my projects.
Hello Amanda, consider in the future to download the full update as soon as it's released even if you're going to do the update thru the program. Then you'll have a log of full programs to fall back on. Also when version 14 is released you'll want to have the last release of V13 just in case. I know this will not help you now, but seeing how you're a "power user" it would be to your advantage to do so in the future.
( I think she's talking about the last update not V12)
Kind Regards - Donald
Ahhhhhhhhhhh, too slow, better check before I post.
LOL
This happens to everybody from time to time (myself included), It shows how fast the support is here
and: better twice then none.
Hello Amanda,
The developers worked on the publishing issue and it is solved in the beta channel update available after you enroll on http://beta.websitex5.com
This update will be available soon as official update.
About the other issues after reimporting the project like Andre suggested, do you experience still the other issues?
What exact error message you get when the program crashes?
Many thanks!
Amanda,
You responded to my topic about freezing. Is everything OK now? I assume support advised me good solution, maybe You can try it as well.
THanks
Ivan
