Want to update an existing website with this software but it appears I can not do that??? Anyone done this?

I have an existing website created using Microsoft Expression web software. Having problems so was led to believe this software would allow me to connect to the existing website and make changes but it appears that is not so. Has anyone used this software to update existing site rather than creating one from start? (Of course, then there's the moving of the site to my paid for domain.)

Frank, WX5 cannot import sites from other packages, neither can it recreate a site from the published site.
However, once familiar with the software, it is a simple proceedure to drag and drop content from the published site to recreate it. Personally I would not be attempting to do so with Version 12, I would be using the current (V14) version.
Publishing your site to your domain is easily dealt with within WX5.
If you wish to provide a link to your existing sight I am sure one of us would be pleased to advise if we foresee any problems or limitations when recreating the site in WX5.

as Esahc mentioned, it is not possible to export a file which has been created with another program, I am sorry about this. What you can do in order to spare time, is to recreate the existing website in a new WebSite X5 Project by copying and pasting the contents (images and texts) into it.
