How do I edit and save the index.html file

I am using Evolution 14 to build my first website but I have screwed up. I looked at my index.html page and I have 2 <TITLES> 2 sets of <META NAME=KEYWORDS and 2 sets of METE NAME descriptions. I tried deleting the extra sets in Index.html files in the Upload and Preview folders but they are still there.
I have edited the index.html files in the Upload and Preview files but they just reappear as though cached somewhere.
I have not tried to edit the index.html on the website host server though. What is the best approach ?

You should make the desired settings in the project, because with each upload the html files can be overwritten.
