Optimized error

I am using Website x5 Evolution 14, but when i optimized and save it then I click on "open in Website X5" button it comes up saying "An error occurred while loading the project (exception of type 'websiteX5.BL.NewVersionProjectExecption' was thrown"

Hi Kevin,
The optimizer does what it says on the package. It optimizes version 10 through version 14 to a version 15 project.
However the error message you get could be much improved...

What do you mean ?
Kevin, you are entitled to use v15, so please install and activate it (you only appear to be running v14). The optimised project can only be imported to v15 or later.

No Kevin, it is free to everyone who bought v14.
With the new model, 12 months after your initial purchase of v14 you will have the choice to pay a "subscription" and keep getting new versions or stop as in the past and then buy the new version (eg v16, v17, etc) if and when you choose.
Whatever you have at the time you choose not to pay the "subscription" will continue to function indefinitely, but there will be no upgrades and potentially no updates.
I suspect Incomedia are trying to resolve the problems of the past when someone purchased WX5 and then 3 months later a new version was released to which the purchaser was not entitled and they were therefore upset.
