You can open the project?

If so, have you tried immediately going to step 5 export, export project to create an iwzip file.  If this works, then immediately go back and import you project (this will not overwrite the existing project). Hopefully the "updated" project will be clean of errors.

When you say backups will not open, are you following the correct proceedure? Open WX5, select project, selects backup, select Redo?

I can open the project but when I try to preview it a blank white screen appears only.

Ive tried exporting and uploadfing with no joy.

I saved backups and then I uninsattled and reinstalled the WX5 software. Please look at screenshot attcahed. They are the bakups I have but they are appearing as internet explorer files even though the file type is IWPRJ2. How do I get WX5 to recognise these files ?

So you can open the project, but the preview is blank.

What if you go directly into the project directory and open the index.html/index.php file, can you see the content there instead?

Sometimes the blank preview is due to some antivirus messing up the preview. Try with that turned off as well and shut down the software before doing that.

Also, a new version of the software is now available. Try to update it as well and retry
