I'm adding leading spaces to level menu items for aesthtic reasons - but they are ignored in preview or when exported to web.
Any ideas on what to use instead of a space that?

Adrian, you can cheat and use ALT+255 (hold alt key and enter 255 on numeric keypad) instead of a space, but the best way to do this is by varying the horizontal margin as this will not mess with the official page name.
