PayPal TVA (Vat) problem  fr

Hello !

First I don't know if it is W5 problem or a PayPal problem.

It seems that Database orders is ok with the right values.

I use PayPal system included in the program (I just fill my PayPal account) and it works.

The problem is that  systematically PayPal add a tax on the global order.

This tax is equal at 5,50 % (VAT of all my products excepted transport 20 %).

So I mentionned the problem at PayPal developpers and they asked me to describe variables and values transmitted during the process.

Can you give me please ?

below, all pictures of parameters and result.

By advance, thanks.

Kind regards,

Pascal

Hi Pascal,

It would be helpful if you could try and perform a test order on your website directly.

I tested on a new project, and if I have two products that cost 704 euros each, I get two, and the VAT is included, PayPal prompts me to pay 1408 like it is supposed to.

At what step does it seem to ask more? Would it be possible for you to provide a larger screenshot of the moment that the VAT seems to be being added for me?

Please keep me posted

Thank you

Stefano

Hi Stefano,

in fact, it is not my question. I'm sure that it is not a problem on WX5 side. But PayPal asks me the name of the variables and their description who are transmitted to PayPal during the process.

I'm quite sure it is a PayPal issue, but they asks me this information.

I checked databse and all values are ok. but I don't where to find.

It must be something like that I suppose:

&item_number=[UESCAPE_ORDER_NO]

&amount=[UESCAPE_PRICE, 1, ###.@@] => This is the most important(signification) can you explain please ?

&currency_code=EUR&button_subtype=services

&no_note=0&charset=UTF%2d8&first_name=[UESCAPE_NAME]

&last_name=[UESCAPE_LASTNAME]

&address1=[UESCAPE_ADDRESS1]

&address2=[UESCAPE_ADDRESS2]

&city=[UESCAPE_CITY]

&state=[UESCAPE_STATEREGION]

&country=[UESCAPE_COUNTRYCODE]

&zip=[UESCAPE_ZIPPOSTALCODE]

Regards,

Pascal
