Php support for version 12  en

Hi all,

I have just moved websites to a new host and now the php embedded objects no longer work.

The host has two options of php: v7.0 or v7.2 that can be used. My question is, does evolution x5 v12 work with these two options? After many hours working on this with the host's support team we could not get it to work, so this is the only thing i can think of.

To clarify, all the setting on the host are as they should be with regards to php support and settings required to make the objects work....but i still get the '500 server error' on both the email and the guestbook widgets.

All the other help topics on here lead me to believe it could well be X5 evolution V12 compatability with the new versions of php.

Can anyone enlighten me please? Or give me other ideas on why this wouldn't work.

All responses greatly received.

Many Thanks

Neil

Hi Neil.

First of all, in order to determine exactly what could be going on with this specific error, you should proceed to doing the following:

With every error 500, comes a very details error detail, which should be visible by your hosting's support. You need to go back to them, ask them to provide that to you and post it here, so that we might analyze what exactly seems to be causing that

Please do so, and get back to me here

Thank you

Stefano

Thank you for the response.

I have actually managed to solve this one with the support team of the host.

I upgraded to the newest version of x5 as i have read from tech support that it is definately compatable with the PHP versions of the host. .......however that wasn't the issue!

It appears the host had a LIMIT to the file size allowed with php applications. they incresaed the limit at their end and it worked instantly. can't say for certain I wasn't being 'fobbed off' with an excuse but the issue was definately with the host.

All solved. Thank you
