For Info guys .... V17 roll back to v16 ..... e-Commerce is broken....  fr

If you try V17 and for many reasons you do a roll back to v16... 

Take care... if you have e-Commerce website and if you have uploaded your website with the v17.

Because, the V17 has done some modifications into the database.

Obviously these modifications are not documented by Incomedia and nobody can know thatLike database is running with MySQL, this one is opened... It's not a phantom tool... surprisedsurprised

But the order table has beens changed with 2 more fields into the structure.
Why not ....

The main issue is if you do a roll back to v16... your e-Commerce website does not works anymore.
because you continue to use a v16 website with a v17 modified database.

So order processing is done like before, customer receives confirmation and so on...

BUT THE ORDER TABLE IS NOT UPDATED

I was my case...

No errors, but no orders into the table....

I have tried to do a backup of v17 database contents and to restore it into a new fresk v16.
No problem, no issue... but no orders are regsitered into the orders table 

Solution for me is to re-start from an empty v16 database with a v16 website site...like x mmonths before.

In any case I have wasted longtime again in facing incomedia issue because all new features are not documented

This would definitely seem like a weird issue, for which reason I proceeded to testing this specific case intensively.

From my tests, having the v17 generate a Database and then replacing the website's files with v16 ones caused no issues with orders being saved in the Database, independently from the fact that a different quantity of column was present in the table.

All the other tables updated just as well.

If possible for you, I would like to ask you to eventually double check if this is exactly what happened to you, as we keep an eye out for this possible issue which for the moment still hasn't been reported and seems not to be reproduceable by my tests

Too late. I have cancelled v17 and staying with my v16 which is works fine.

I cannot accept an update (paid) which is worst than previous !!! and does not works like previous.

But you missed something I believe. I don"t start with v17...

Create an e-Commerce with v16
Manage stock ready and operational
Upload website
Do some orders with 1 or 2 users
Verify the orders into the table

Update into v17
Update teh website
do an order.

Check if the order is ok into the table.

roll back into v16
Update the website
Do an order

not working anymore. was my case  after long hours to find the issue.

I tested this again the way you explained it, but wasn't really able to get the software not to save the order like it should have.

There might have been something else going on that caused the issue in the first place, and for this reason I've proceeded to informing the developers about it, so that the situation of v17->v16 Database can be kept under check for issue

I thank you for your report as we keep on the lookout about this incompatibility
