Right Click/Protect Photos  en

Is there any way to disable the shift key when viewing galleries? Perhaps with html or ccs? Anything?

More specifically, WX5 disables thr right click function if the "Enable HTML Code Protection" box is checed in Privacy and Security and it works just fine across all browsers. However Shift+Riight Click in Firefox it allows easy access to D/L full size images from any website.

Thank in advance for any suggestions.

Do not be fooled, everything that is displayed can also be downloaded.Real protection is provided only by the display with minimum resolution and server-side protection of high-resolution images with user / password.
With the right mouse button blocked, every function is blocked with the right mouse button in this way, but actually meaningless to get to source code and / or content.Similarly, you might wonder what about the visitors using the devices without a mouse?

The whole is probably more of an apparent reassurance for the owner of the rights.
Disadvantage:
If I am often close to what to buy on a page, but the functions for filling out forms / generate password, etc. is denied via right mouse click, I leave the site and go somewhere else!

Thanks for the input JJ, I am fully aware that there are many mathods to D/L images for those who are really determined. But WX5 already provides a right click block that works on all browsers, however Firefox's code is different and you can hit SHIFT + RUGHT CLICK and you'll get a D/L menu.

Even if there are other methods to rip off pictures I just want to make it as inconvenient as possible. WX5 advertises itself as having a function to protect photos but it doesn't work all that well.

Hi Milton,

thank you for your message.

You can disable the right mouse click on Step 1- Advanced> Privacy and Security> Security section > Enable HTML Code Protection.

You can also do this for each single image in the Display tab on the Image Object, section Protection> Prevent Image against copy.

Thanks! Kind regards.

(It > En) ... ... alternatively EXTRA, you can take a cue from my historical examples:

... do they work ...?... ... or, which of the examples does it work ...?...

.

ciao

Many thanks Elisa but the problem is not right click, I already use that. The prooblem is SHIFT + RIGHT CLICK in Firefox specifically, If you look at the jpg in my original post you can see the difference. This happens (as far as I know) in Firefox ONLY, but I don't think there is a solution.

Hi Milton,

another additional option would be to protect your pictures using some watermarks, there are some available in the Image Object's Image Editor.

Please let me know if I can do anything else for you. Kind regards.
