Can you modify the shopping cart  en

I have a group of products we manufacturer and would like to use the shopping cart to list them on our website. We do not sell retail, so wondering if the cart could be modified so there is no price, payment info, etc. The cart would be used so a visitor can click and add items they are intersted in into the 'shopping cart' then upon submitting would email the request for more information directly to our exclusive retailer.

Hi Earl.

Unfortunately, even though this is theoretically possible, it would appear very weird to the user.

You could set every price to 0 and then potentially hide it. Still, the user would be brought through the whole cart, shipment and payment procedure which would probably not be what you needed, even if it would send an email in the end.

For something like this, I would rather suggest you insert the products through a mixture of other Objects in the software rather than the Product catalogue and then provide an email form to them where they can write to you what they're interested in. Of course they would need to manually report the products in there, since there is no way of selecting those

Hope I've been helpful

Stefano

Stefano,

On my current website, I have listed our products as you describe. I made an email form that someone could fill out and on it had every item listed that they could check off before submitting.

I am modernizing our whole website and liked how the products were displayed (between desktop, mobile, etc) and could be added to the cart.

Thanks,

Earl
