User sitemap on a web page, not the sitemap.xml file  en

Is there a way to create a "user" sitemap that is placed on one of your web pages like a table of contents.  I am familiar with sitemap.xml and how the program will automatically create this for Google and other search engines and add criteria about page importance, last update, update frequency, etc.

What I would like to know, can the program create a user friend list of all the category and sub category labels and show the page names within them as links to the pages.  Basically the beginning index to a long tech manual, similar to the Website X5 PDF manual.  Each chapter shows whats in it and allows you to advance to that page.

I can do it manually, which will be a lot of typing and keeping track of when pages are added and potentially deleted one day.  Just wondering if the software had an automated approach.

We use menu objects in the side content to represent the page structure, as the menu can overlap, we have worked by far as blank lines in text objects.
Example:
https://www.plocher-produkte.ch/imsitemap.html
The levels are the menu structure elements

John, up until v13 Incomedia included the ability to generate a file called imsitemap.html, this was a great feature for a general overview of website stucture, especially complex ones.

When Incomedia gave us menu objects that could be placed anywhere they removed the generic footer menu which included a general sitemap link, but for unknown reasons they also removed the ability to generate imsitemap.html.

This post discusses this loss and potential alternative solutions.

Perhaps it is time we all put in a concerted effort and again asked for the return of this very helpful feature.
