I'm hoping someone can help me. The current website is made with WordPress (www.symphonyoftrees.com). I just made a new website using X5. Does anyone know if I need to do anything before I publish the new X5 website? I can see the wordpress files in my cpanel. Do I need to delete them before I publish? Do I need a backup of wordpress site? I didnt make the wordpress site so I am not familiar with wordpress. Any information on a smooth transition would be greatly appreciated!

Hello.
"Do I need to delete them before I publish?" - yes.
"Do I need a backup of wordpress site?" - If you need a copy of this site, then yes. You also need to backup the database.
If you have made a new version of this site and have similar information on it, then it would not be bad to make redirections from old URL addresses to new ones.
Hi Amanda,
thank you for your message.
Please consider unfortunately it is not possible to export the WebSite X5 project on Wordpress.
I am available for further help. Kind regards.

Elisa,
I am not trying to export the Website X5 project on Wordpress, essentially I want to get rid of the Wordpress website, I am keeping the domain but want to change the website to the one I made with Website X5.

I have everything backed up, just trying to figure out exactly what I need to delete in the cPanel.
Cordial saludo
En ese caso puede eliminar el Wordpress de su cpanel y montar el nuevo sitio, la recomendación de hacer una copia de seguridad era por desidia conservar para en un momento dado regresar a su antigua pagina

In that case you can delete the Wordpress from your cpanel and mount the new site, the recommendation to make a backup was due to laziness to keep for a moment to return to your old page
Hi Amanda,
as already present, if you have installed WordPress and you want to replace it with the site created with WebSite X5 you just need to delete the files in the root of the server and export the site via step 5 of WebSite.
You can clean the server by enabling the restoration of the web fragment or by performing an FTP access.
I hope to been helpful!
