Files lost - how to restore from upload?

Hi everyone,
I setup another laptop and transferred all files from the previous one to this. Now, although it shows that I have also transferred all Incomedia files, somehow for one project, in which I had made massive changes before setting up the new computer, does not have any backup files. It only shows some old version from December 2018 but changes were made in March 2019.
How can I restore or import the project from e.g. the uploaded files? In the Incomedia folder it also shows that the uploaded files were last uploaded in March but there are no files which allow me to import them to WebsiteX5.
What to do?! Otherwise I have to reprogram the whole website again! :(
Thanks, Alex

Alex, you copied or moved the folders from the old to the new?
Assuming you copied, go back to the old laptop, run WX5 and open your project. Assuming this is up to date, go to step 5 export, export project. This will create an iwzip file.
Copy (only) the iwzip file to the new laptop, open WX5 and select import.
WX5 can NOT recreate a project from a published website.
Please advise if you can not run WX5 on the old laptop.

That's the problem, I thought everything is fine and reset the old computer to use it for other work...
Alex, if you copied the whole Incomedia directory each project should be there.
The folder for your project should look like this, project.iwprj2 is the main file.
Is there any chance you have another "default" directory or perhaps you are opening the wrong project folder (when v2019 first opened the v17 project you were offered a copy. Are you now opening the copy rather than the most recent version??)
Since they obviously no longer have a Project or an iwzip file, You can only recreate the Homepage in a new Project and use the published Homepage as a Basis to recreate the Structure. Content such as Texts, Pictures and Files from the public Homepage can be copied, which is much faster than finding everything new.
Make external Backup copies, whether as an iwzip File, backup of the project directory, preferably on external Drive or Server.

Yes, I see that file as I know that this is the one which I need to restore it from. And finally even found the one from March 19 :) - however, it does not allow me to import that file as it gives me in Website X5 only the option to import "iwzip. files.

Shall I reinstall V17?
If you have found the correct project, and the file/folder structure is correct, then you can simply open the project.
Installing v17 should not be necessary unless you wish to continue development in v17.
In addition to v2019, you can also install v17 and open the project from v17 and export an iwzip, as this is apparently no longer to be found for v2019.
However, If the project from v17 is correctly present in the Pad of v2019, it should be converted directly during the opening of the Project.

The new version of X5 does not support IPRJ2 files...so I cannot open that project. So I'll either open the project in V16 or V17, saved it again and then reopen it later in V2019.1.
The correct Filename are *.iwpri2 not *.iprj2 !!

sorry iwprj2 not iwpri2

Yeah sorry, that was just a typo

anyway, the point is that neither version is able to import anything else but iwzip files, just tried V16
Hi Alex.
You're not supposed to use the "Import" button for non-IWZIP files. Only use the button if you have an actual IWZIP file to import.
If you saved the project folder instead, just place the whole folder in the default folder where the software is saving the projects. It should then appear as visible in the Start page of the program
Try this out and let me know if that worked for you. You can find this folder by checking under the Preference menu item when launching the software
Thank you
