E-mail form no longer working  en

Hi Ladies and Gents. Hope you can help once again.

Could anyone please point me in the right direction to troubleshoot/fix the fact that the email form on my website is no longer working?

It used to work just fine (apart from all enquiries being directed to junk-mail!), but would appear to have stopped doing so.

A step-by-step idiot's guide to fixing it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

goto the admin panel (your website url with /admin behind it)

login with the credentials in x5 (step 1 settings, advanced TAB -> acces management.

Do the test see that all is green, below you can test several email scripts.

Your host probably changed the way mails are handled so you need to change x5 accordingly.

goodluck

Thanks for the help Andre. I did finally solve the problem, but it took a while.

I contacted One.com our host company (originally recommended by website X5). They said it wasn't their problem as my email is handled by MS Office 365.

Office 365 very helpful support staff checked and said the messages weren't even reaching them so they couldn't forward them.

Back to One.com helpdesk. Another helpful support person helped me solve it by removing some script from file manager / imEmailForm.php

Remove from line 15 from $_POST['imObjectForm_6_2'] != "" ? $_POST['imObjectForm_6_2'] :

So far this has worked, so you may want to pass this info to anyone else hosted by One.com

I have found that if you alter the contact form on the X5 at any time, then you need to repeat the process as above.

Thanks again.

Have you run the test from the admin panel?

In there you can select several test script so that you can find what script works with your provider.

X5 has several scripts built in for that reason, in this way you don't need to adjust the script itself every time.

Once found a script that is working then set it in x5, and x5 will use only that script.
