File names are changing when exporting to website  en

This is a long story but want to include as much information as possible. It's been a long and frustrating journey.

After sending changes and additions to the website, a file got its' name changed slightly. It happened THREE TIMES yesterday.

I'm using Website X5 Evolution version 13.8.1.23 (64 bit)

The website is KUfan.com as in a fan of the Kansas University Jayhawks. I have a bracket contest every year and use Tubotourney to keep track of players and post all kinds of reports. More about that later.

File name is Tournamentsummary.html.

It changed to TournamenetsummaryXXXXX.html and "XXXXX" is what got added and is numbers and letteres, like "42nq3iyy".

This morning, it's working!!!!!!! But I see there is another one in one of the preview pages that says "files/tournamentresults_zftqok92.html"

The bold letters shouldn't be there. It does NOT say that in the place where I put the file name.

I have kinda figured out that it has something to do with duplicate files, but don't understand where the duplicate is coming from.

Background: I have had a website since 1999. I've always used Frontpage 2000. It's simple. I've got very familiar with it and I understand it, but also know it is way obsolete as hell and doesn't do dropdown menus so I bought your website builder. The way I store files for upload is different than Website X5.

What's wrong??? What's happeneing????

Where should I be storing files to be added?

Where should I store html pages or photos or other objects or should they all be stored together?

One of the great features of Turbotourney (which I've been using for over a decade) is that it allows for the header and footer of my webstite to be included in their reports so they are integrated into my website.

I can't find the header and footer. Where are they?

I'm trying to get this all set up before the NCAA Tournament in mid March. I have the Contest Page visible so you can take a look at it if you want. Sorry this is so long.

Thank you for your time.

No problem about storing files, x5 put's most of the stuff in the main folder on internet, don't worry about it.

Just place it where you want them.

the template is in step2 to edit or adjust settings.

if you want to keep the same file name for your pages use step3 -> properties button for the page you have selected -> tag filename below and usa the standard name or give it one yourself.

You wrote "if you want to keep the same file name for your pages use step3 -> properties button for the page you have selected -> tag filename below and usa the standard name or give it one yourself."

Thats what I'm doing. WHY is it changing the name and what has to be done to make it stop???

In the dropdown menu of the contest, Tournament Summary has an error. How did it get there? It wasn't there earlier. Yes, I did an update, butit was to another page totally unrelated to this.

If you have set the TAG and filled in a filename, that page should never get another pagename.

Can you make a prtscrn?

Be aware, filename needs to unique! you can't have more than one with the same name, then x5 will automaticla add an follow up number. See that all the manually made filenames are unique.

I DID send a screen shot (as an attachment). I know names have to be unique.

Sorry I ment a screenshot from the properties page in x5, but it might not be needed anymore if below things will help you out.

I can acces the website! If you visit your page after making changes then press F5 in your browswr before checking url's

http://kufan.com/files/tournamentsummary_yb2gc0ng.html

you are using www, remove that, specialy in step1.

But also in the webbrowser adress assignement.
