Fly out contact form  en

Is there a way in the software to create a fly out contact form?

Similar to sites that have the "chat now" box on the right of the page that you can expand or contract.

Is there a way to set up that expanding and contracting box, but to act as a small contact form?

This is for those of us who do not watch the website every second, but are willing to get back to people when we can.

Thanks,

Hello John,

I know exactly what you mean.  Unfortunately the standard Contact Form object cannot be made to behave in this way.

WebSite X5 do a lovely little fly out Mobile Contact optional object:

https://market.websitex5.com/en/objects/live-preview/28faeb70-63d3-4214-bd05-3bee5e4739c

It works beautifully and the icon sits unobtrusively out of the way when not required, but as the name implies it is designed to work only in mobile/smartphone viewports.

Here is an alternative third-party script which I can verify works well in all viewports:

https://www.phpjabbers.com/free-sliding-contact-form-script/

With one caveat...  depending on how your WebSite X5 page is laid out it may obscure some elements when not in use.

Kind regards,

Paul

(Google | It > En)
1) - hidden contact page and > ▪Create the Page without the Template;
2) - menu bar button - New Level > CONTACTS > link to the contact page with opening in the showbox;
3) - put on the page, at the bottom of the footer, an Image Object with this image > ;
4) - assign the link to CONTACTS with opening in the showbox to the previous image;
5) - then with a small and very simple EXTRA css code, you can place the image in a fixed position, always visible with the scroll, wherever you want, for example in the lower right or left (*);
...
(*) ... possibly, to be helped for the .5), ... after having done steps 1> 4, post the LINK of the page ...

ciao

Thanks. I will look into the mobile content thing. That might be enough since 75% of the world lives on their phones.
