When I tried both of those X5 locations I get the message in the attached image: "Enter all the mandatory data to continue"
I think the mandatory data Website X5 is referring to is the TTF file for offline display.

I have searched everywhere I can think of on my Windows 10 machine for that TTF font file, but I think Adobe has deeply hidden it in order to control their licensing agreements with their font providers.

Also, I think I understand why I get this message. Website X5 wants me to be able to see my design with my chosen fonts on my own computer before I upoad the site to the server. That's cool, but if I am unable to do that I should not be blocked from proceeding further.
I think removing that blockage could be the quickest work-around.

Yes, you are right without TTF file this solution will not work. Perhaps you can ask Adobe about this. Perhaps they will tell you where you can get this file.

Well, I'll try to solve that problem elsewhere, as you suggested, but I hope you all at X5 will consider this a feature request: to remove that blockage. Maybe have a notice that pops up to give me the choice of finding the TTF, or continuing without it.

As of now, the software definitely needs to TTF font or you would not be able to preview your website correctly offline.

I would like to investigate the other embedding methods suggested by Adobe though. I'm sure there is another way to do this. Can you please provide more information as to how the font can be embedded according to Adobe? I will try and advise how to insert it

Thanks for the response Stefano,
I have learned from Adobe that Typekit fonts are always linked to on-line, there is never a TTF file downloaded to my desktop.
(As a side note: that means that the fonts are not useable if you are working on a laptop in a situation without an Internet connection. I wonder if this is also true of Google and X5 fonts.)

Atttached a file that shows the the 2 ways of inserting code lines that Adobe provides.

Let me know if there is a reasonable way to achive this code insert within X5, and be able to see the results while building pages.
Seems if y'all have it working for Google & your own fonts, it could be made to work for Adobe some way.

I've consulted with the developers about Adobe Fonts specifically.

Unfortunately, they're not made to be used in an offline space the way WebSite X5 operates, and for this reason, the code they provide would not be okay to work on your projects offline.

Since they do not provide TTF files, I'm afraid they will not be usable in this context. Google Fonts work differently, they provide specific logics to be used offline and even download some local files to allow fonts to be viewed when no connection is available.

As of now, I am afraid that their use cannot be advised on a website

Try using https://onlinefontconverter.com I have used this site before for some fonts that are not on google fonts it will convert the file otf file format to ttf, svg, eot and woff file format and then just insert the fonts manually.
