Image size

If I have an Image container, I don't seem to be able to control the size of the image. In the edit options the Height & Width options are greyed out. Why is this?
And a related question on the Content Slider. On preview the images look good, but in some browsers they only show the top part of the image (Edge/Chrome). In Firefox they display fine. Another mystery?
Can anyone offer advice on either of these please?

Hie Stephen,
you can: first select 'Custom'. Then you will see a cross with which you can draw the desired size ... also width and height.

Thanks Klaus, but this only crops the image. What I am trying to do is to overall reduce the size of the entire image.
You can use the text object, insert image there and size anyway you like.

Yes, I have been using that workaround, but it seems strange that the proper Image object itself is incapable of resizing the picture! I still can't find a workaround for the second part of my initial query - i.e. the sizing of the image in the Silder object.
Browsers differences are difficult, are all browsers up to date? Also javascript? Else it could also be X5 itself, in that case Incomedia needs to check this.
(It > En) ... normally the CSS COVER mode is used; ... automatic resizing of the image with the center of the image always in the center, and consequently the external parts are cropped if the window is not congruent with the dimensions of the images ...
... in order to understand something of your problem and be able to evaluate, you should post the LINK of your example online ...

I have resolved this issue with a workaround. I set a height for the slider object control, and then externally edit the image to the same pixel size. A bit long-winded but it seems to ensure full compatability across all platforms and devices. It's just a pity that X5 doesn't have a facility to actually resize images as well as cropping them!
Hi, with a few lines of extra code you can get responsive images and texts in the CONTENT SLIDER as in my example at the following link:

The extra code is visible in the page source but should be adapted a little to the type of project and the breakpoints inserted in it.

Thank you Giuseppe. That's really neat!
