Placed Video/Audio object on the page. Up graded to X5-Pro version 2020.3.3 and have lost the ability to see or play YouTube/Vimeo Video. The older version of X5-Pro was playing the Vimeo links just fine. How can this be fixed?

Hello.I see videos on both sites.Checked in three browsers.
Try clearing your browser cache.
@ Richard
Video is OK on the new version too...
Hello all,
I think Richard is referring to this page instead...
http://www.construct.eipma.org/press.html
...where there are empty Video Object containers.
Richard, in the first instance I would try holding down the CTRL key whilst entering the Preview mode in WebSite X5. Allow the Preview to build to completion (watch the progress bar near the top of the screen), then make a FULL upload to the server in Step 5.
If this doesn't resolve the matter then could you please post a screenshot showing the Properties/settings of at least one of the 'invisible' Video Objects?
Kind regards,
Paul
Search the WebSite X5 Help Center
My early findings are leading me to believe that there is indeed some sort of bug in 2020.3.3 which impedes the display of Vimeo (but not YouTube) videos.
I'll ask for official support from the Incomedia support team. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

You are correct the video on the home page works correctly. When you navigate to the “PRESS” page, It is the vimeo video’s that are invisible and therefore do not play.
I tried using the control key and then uploading to the server, but result is still the same. The vimeo video objects stayed invisible.
The properties did not change when I upgraded to version 2020.3.3. As shown in the prior email version 2020.2.3, the vimeo videos works fine. Screen shot attached from version 2020.3.3.
Lucky for me I still had version 2020.2.3 on another machine so could keep the live website going with the vimeo videos working fine.
I've noticed the same behaviour, Richard, and have asked Incomedia for support. They should respond soon. Please continue to monitor the thread for their reply.

I run two websites. One I use to build the pages and do updates which is not available to the public. When the client approves, I make the changes to the live site by renaming the file and doing an upload.
Is there a way to revert back to X5-Pro version 20202.3 on my main computer until this bug is fixed?

Not version 2020.2.3 but version 2020.2.5 Sorry for the mistake.
Before WebSite X5 upgrades a project to a significantly newer version (like as in from version 2020.2 to version 2020.3) it offers you the option to duplicate the existing project. In fact, this option is automatically selected by default. One has to actively remove the tick from the checkbox in order for the duplication not to go ahead.
So you should hopefully still have a copy of version 2020.2.5 in your projects folder. You can check the path to the projects folder by clicking on the Preferences button in the very first screen shown when WebSite X5 loads:
If you can locate the old project then you can proceed to reinstall version 2020.2 from the 'Download' section of your profile using this link:
Download WebSite X5
Once version 2020.2 is reinstalled then you should be able to open the old project once more from the Project Selection screen.
If by any chance you didn't duplicate the project before converting, then the only other way to get the project back into version 2020.2 would be to use a v2020.2 IWZIP file (if you have one!)
Just had another thought, Richard... you referred to your 'main computer', which suggests WebSite X5 is also installed on another computer?
I suppose you could export the 2020.2 project as an IWZIP file (in Step 5 > Export > Export the Project) from the secondary computer, then import this IWZIP file back to your main computer after having reinstalled version 2020.2
This assumes that you didn't make too many edits on the main computer in the recent past, of course.

Please understand I am running two different versions of X5-Pro on two different computers.
On my Main computer I upgraded to version 2020.3.3 and that is when the vimeo videos became invisible. The other computer I use as a backup and it has the X5-Pro version 2020.2.5.
On the main computer I would like to replace latest X5-Pro version 2020.3.3 with the older version 2020.2.5 so I can continue updating the websites from the main computer, with a project the has valid vimeo object videos, until support can fix the bug.
Yes, the upgrade made a duplicate file of the original project and it does run perfectly under version 2020.2.5 No, I did not export the file, but could have. I copied the project file to a thumb drive and loaded it into the proper directory on the back up computer and version 2020.2 took it as a valid file.
Hope support can fix this bug quickly, because it is a pain to use the backup system.
be safe

Glad I read this, have upgraded but not republished. Will wait for the fix...
Is youtube ok in 2020.3.4? Is it just vimeo that is having a problem?
It is for me, Adrian (YouTube OK, Vimeo not)... but hopefully Incomedia will confirm 'officially'
