Export the Website to Disc Issue

Hi,
I am having a problem with backing up my work using the Export > Export the Website to Disc!
The issue has only started to occur since I made the recent update: When I try to export the website to disc, it only reaches 8% complete and then the app crashes/freezes and I have to use the windows Task Manager to quit the app. I have tried many times with no luck!
Please could you advise me what I could do to rectify this issue, or is this a bug in the most recent update?
Thank you!

Hello Andrew,
Make sure you run WebSite X5 as an 'Administrator' in Windows with full privileges and access rights to files and folders, etc. - try also rebooting your computer (if you haven't already done so).
The freezing issue may be due to antivirus software. To test, temporarily disable any such software. If the export is then successful, you can add an 'exception' to your antivirus package, effectively whitelisting WebSite X5.
I believe you will find that the update is incidental, and not the reason for your current problem.
Kind regards,
Paul

Hi Paul,
Thanks for your swift response to my issue.
Yes, I've rebooted my system a number of times since the issue a few days ago.
I've just tested your other suggestions and the issue remains the same unfortunately?
Thanks in advance for your continued support.
With kindest regards,
Andrew.
I would suspect network drives and file syncs (like Dropbox) next. Do you use anything like this, or are all the links within your project local ones?
You're welcome to send the project over to me as an IWZIP file, Andrew, and I could take a closer look. As you're no doubt well aware, you would use the option 'Export the Project' in Step 5 to create the IWZIP file.

However, there is of course no obligation to do so, and I will mark the thread for Incomedia's specific attention in any case. An official response might be a little slower than normal due to the holiday season.

Hi again Paul,
No, I don't have any links to DropBox or the like...
The reason that I am slightly suspicious about the issue after the application update, is because I only made a few little updates on my website build... For example, I changed the footer date to 2021, and my list of exhibitions to my 2021 forthcoming shows, so nothing exactly big at all from my last 'save' point.
I have been using this app for my websites since version 8 and have never had this issue before, and nothing has really changed in my system.
I very much appreciate your help, let's see if Incomedia can shed any light on it.
With kindest regards,
Andrew.

Sorry for the intrusion but I am concerned you state you are using "Export > Export the Website to Disc!" as a backup.
Export the project will create a backup (an iwzip is a comprehensive backup with all source files), export website to disk merely creates your website locally and is of little use at a time of catastrophe.
Please check that export project works, and if not I highly recommend duplicating the project before attempting to locate the issue.
PS do you perhaps have an iwzip available from an earlier time?

Esahc,
Thank you for your kind help and comments, very much appreciated indeed.
The reason that I use the Backup to Disc option is, as you suggested, for worse case scenario, so that I have a copy of all the files which I can simply upload to my website via my FTP client application if I need to! But I do indeed use the iwzip as a means of backup for the main app and website.
I seem to have got over my issue by converting the backup copy of my website which then worked fine with the Backup to Disc function of the software!
I have another update to do shortly, so will test it again and leave another comment here if I get the same issue again.
Thanks again Paul and Esahc for your help and support ;-)
