I can confirm that this change was made in order to solve an issue that was present in v2021 where if you had too many images or they were quite heavy, it could take a while to load and present images overlapping each other

As of now, you can mitigate this effect you see by reducing the number of images in the slideshow or by making sure that they're not too heavy

Can you share the URL to your page here for me to check?

Hello and thank you for writing back!

I reverted back to 2020.3.8, therefore I cannot provide you with a working link to the page created with V2021. But you can have a look on the Page www.ichthys.at, which is created with 2020.3.8.

The starting-page shows the slideshow (Bilderliste) on the top of the page. In V2020.3.8. everything works as it should, but in V2021 the slideshow starts empty (without any image) with the white text, and after some seconds the first image comes in. All the images are optimized for fast loading (they do load fast in V2020.3.8).

I read above, that this behaviour is intended to hide another problem, but it did work before. Now it's unusable. Who wants a starting page showing only backgroundcolor with white text for the first seconds...? This looks not professional.

Why can't the first image be shown as long as it is needed to load the other (or only the next) images behind the scenes? 

I appreciate the new possibilities of Bilderliste (I'd even love to have the possibility to add text to each slide), but wouldn't want to sacrifice the functionality for it.

It's a pity, that I cannot upgrade because of this bug and I won't upgrade, as long as this isn't solved. But I paid for my upgrades, so I would ask you to solve this behavior or even give us the choice to have the "Bilderliste" slideshow of the Version 2020 alternative selectable to the new one.

Sorry, if I sound a little bit rude. English is not my first language. I'm not angry, only disappointed.

I understand your point of view, but I, unfortunately, do not believe that this can be reported as a bug. The slideshow needs to supports a different set of effects right now and this leads to the behavior you're currently seeing.

As I mentioned though, this should only happen with very heavy images and your doesn't seem the case.

I would like to ask you, if possible, to reupload the website in the newest version temporarily or perhaps upload it onto a subfolder like
