Hello Robert,
Useful? https://guide.websitex5.com/en/support/solutions/44000803532
My basic English does not allow me to explain everything in detail. Wait for the support or other informed user if necessary after reading the Guides.

The problem I have is in the webspace list when exporting the provided website address is [my-name.websitex5.me] and the URL is shown as https://my-name.websitex5.me/ this cant be changed and is not the name of the website created that I want to post.
Hello Robert,
You need to ask to your actual provider to configure a web redirection to the new domain and after to change DNS for this redirection.
Wait for Incomedia for further information
Enjoy!

Hello. There is a video tutorial in this article. Perhaps it will be useful to you. In it, I showed how you can add your own domain.

I am not trying add my own domain I am in need of using the free hosting which I thoght would give me the name of my website followed by .websitex5.me
"I thoght would give me the name of my website followed by .websitex5.me" - no. This will be the name of your account, and then ".websitex5.me".

Thanks, so therefore not a lot of use unless you want your personal name ( if the software is registerd to me) all over the internet, this needs to be explained properly on your website. Otherwise I need to buy new software and regiter to the name of the website- No.
That is why you can use another domain that you buy yourself.
Hi Robert,
I confirm you can activate a second level domain, at the moment we don't offer this service yet, but we're working on it. You can possibly use another service for the second level domain and then connect it by following this guide: https://guide.websitex5.com/en/support/solutions/articles/44002248715
Thanks! Kind regards.
