How do optimization settings work?Step 1 - seo  en

Hi all!

I wanted to clarify and understand how the settings work in step 1 – SEO – Gzip compression. and other optimization actions.
I'm interested in why this happens:

  • Do these settings change the HTML code in the site itself?
  • Do these settings change the optimization directly in the X5 program on the computer?
  • Do these settings create a special entry in .htaccess and tell the server to optimize?
  • Will these settings included in X5 only work if these features are enabled on the hosting or server?

Why I ask:

The fact is that in my server settings, in the control panel, I can activate Gzip Compression and my question arises, what if this creates some kind of conflict if these same functions are enabled both in the server settings and in the X5 program?

What should you do if you have the same optimization settings in both the website builder and the server?

Hello.

"Do these settings change the HTML code in the site itself?" - No.

"Do these settings change the optimization directly in the X5 program on the computer?" - No.

"Do these settings create a special entry in .htaccess and tell the server to optimize?" - Yes.

"Will these settings included in X5 only work if these features are enabled on the hosting or server?" - No.

"The fact is that in my server settings, in the control panel, I can activate Gzip Compression and my question arises, what if this creates some kind of conflict if these same functions are enabled both in the server settings and in the X5 program? " - this does not create a conflict. But the server can do the same task twice. This makes no sense.

"What should you do if you have the same optimization settings in both the website builder and the server?" - do not enable this option in the program. Use server settings.
