Edits not changing site

When editing the site in website X5 2026 2.2, the changes I make don’t show in preview or when uploading to live site..
recreating the whole website (50 Pages) isn’t a viable option. any suggestions??

I am sorry about the issue.
Could you please close WebSite X5 and disable your antivirus and firewall temporarily, or make sure that WebSite X5 is included as an exception for them?
Start WebSite X5 again afterwards, and press CTRL while starting the Preview, let me know if the situation changes.

Hi Eric..
Tried everything you suggested. with no luck. I reinstalled version 2026.1.9. worked fine.. so seams to be a problem with 2026.2.2??

did you install version 2026.1.9 with its standard installer or its specific installer?
You can check this by going to C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Incomedia
Do you see the folder WebSite X5 v2026.1 - Pro or just WebSite X5 - Pro

I downloaded the older versions from 2025.3 direct from the incomedia site, i tryed updating the website one version at a time, incase i had jumped to many versions, or that was my logic.
It worked fine untill 2026.2.2

Hello Barry,
please delete the folder WebSite X5 - Professional, then go to AppData/Local/Programs and in here delete WebSite X5 - Professional and/or WebSite X5 - Pro, leaving only the 2025.3 and 2026.1 folders.
As you have the specific version installed, you can install version 2026.2 while retaining those previous versions, so after deleting those folders please keep VPN (if you use one), antivirus and firewall temporarily disabled, and run as admin the installer you can find here: https://www.websitex5.com/download/v2026.2/wsx5_pro.exe
Import a copy of the project into this version, and try to use the CTRL + Preview again.
In the future, make sure that WebSite X5 is set as an exception for VPN/antivirus/firewall afterwards, so that it is possible to leave them active when using the software.

I just deleted all versions and files then re-imported, seems to be fine..
