Footer not showing

Hi there, Can anyone help me with setting up a footer as it does not allow to do so. I have follow every step but still no luck so wondering is there something i'm missing? Please help... I have completely designed my website. The only thing I am having issues with is the footer. I have gone to the help menu and done exactly what they say to do and there is still no change. At the bottom of my pages it has a grey area (footer) where the text should go. I type in what I want to display, press test and nothing shows up. Please shed some light as this would be muchly appreciated. Thanks, Gavin

Did you build your own template or pick it from the template gallery? If you built it yourself, could you please show me its settings in the custom template section with a screenshot?

Did you adjust the template color? Please look into Step 1, Custom Template, and click on the footer. On the right hand side, on the very top, the first option you find is ''Color:''. Did you adjust it to transparent?
How high is your footer?
Could you please attach a screenshot of this page eventually and show me how your preview appears?

Hi Samantha,
I didn't adjust any settings, simply went to footer section and added text but when I press test it does not show up.
I am using Evolution 8. I have tried attaching an image and that doesn't work either.

Ok, thank you Gavin. Could you please show me what you see in your preview? Do mean that if you click on ''preview'' nothing shows up? Do you see the other pages clearly?
What version of WebSiteX5 Evolution 8 do you have?

Thats correct! When I click on preview nothing shows up although as you can see in the above attached screenshot, it is typed into the footer. We are using EVo 8 version 8.0.6
I understand. Well your version of the program is very old, the last one released by our technical team is number 8.0.16. Please update your software, you can download the latest version from the ''download'' section in the top right corner of this page and install. Remember to add your product code and to register with the same email you used the first time.

Thank you Samantha, this has solved our issues with the footer and the email submission the only thing that wont happen is the email form wont send a confirmation email to the sender, do you have any tips on how to fix this?
