Slideshow Gallery Options
Autor: Paul S.It seems there are a lot of people (myself included) who would like to use a gallery slideshow which can be viewable on Apple devices. We are fully aware that the gallery slideshow is flash based and not viewable on these devices, due to Apple's push for everyone to use HTML5.
Incomedia advise people to use a thumbnails gallery type to circumnavigate these flash problems, but unfortunately this type does not give the effect that people require on their websites. Other suggestions have been made within X5 answers to use jQuery and jQuery plugins such as Nivoslider, Wowslider, Flexslider etc. I understand that even Incomedia themselves use Flexslider (not their suggested thumbnails gallery type) on their own X5 website to create a slideshow effect that many of us would like to use.
My question is:
Can Incomedia or someone else produce an idiots guide/tutorial on how to use jQuery to create a gallery slideshow and how to incorporate it within X5?
Dear Paul,
the first 3 galleries in the gallerie object are built in Flash the last 4 are built in Javascript, this is the reason why we suggest to use these if you do not want flash.
Thank you for your suggestions, we will of course add more gallerie options in the future compatible with all browsers and devices. I'm afraid I can not help you with extra HTML codes but, If you have a little patience I'm sure you'll find what you need in the WebSite X5!

Many thanks Samantha,
Unfortunately the last 4 Javascript gallery objects do not give me the required effect I am looking for my website. I am looking for a continuous slideshow without thumbnails which can be achieved by X5 version 8 or jQuery. It looks like I will have to revert back to version 8 for now until I can master jQuery, or wait until Incomedia produce an update which will make compatible viewing on all browsers and devices.
