Hello,
in my owncase, MAYBE there is a solution,I have notposted onmy site, yet, so i don't knowwhat the outcome. BUT IT 'worksin'preview!
i create originalimage(large21cm.x19, 300dpi)inPSD and I keep them a folder,THEN i dothe copies inJPEG(keeping thesame size,quality60)in another folderanduseONLY thoseto put invariousgalleries: and, for the moment, IwillNOTmore '"imagegenerationerror"...
hope i'm not wrong...

is this post related to a problem or just a solution you found in order to not get the image generation error? The solution you posted is right, keeping all the images in a folder is the best practice in this case.
