Png Placement  en

When I add a png it has a white box round it. I've tried this in edit Template graphic and with icons next to text of my email and tel number. The only time it hasn't is if it's added as an image in the custom template section but then I can't reposition or align it like I would like.

Hi Helen!

Are you sure you didn't set the background color into white in step 1- custom template - page background? Could you please attach the file .png that you are trying to add to your project so that I may test it?

Thank you!

Hi Samantha,

In the Custom Template the background colour is set to black & all the rest are set to 'transparent'.

As I mentioned if I add the png to the 'title bar' in Custom Template the transparency works but I can't move it to align as I would like.

I'll send a couple of examples & png

Thank you

Hi Helen!Smile

1- I suggest you create an image as big as the ''title bar''/header. You will see the size of it in step 1 - custom template - on the bottom you will find ''size''.

  • Create an image, for example red, as big as the header.
  • After, open the ''Edit template graphics'' section, there you will find this image.
  •  The red rectangle will be your header space. It will be easier to place the logo.
  •  Once you have decided where to place it, simply delete the red image.

2- Why is the background in your text objetc, black? I tryed to create the same thing without problems, what I did is:

  • add text object to my page and open it
  • click on the ''insert image'' icon on the top and select the image you gave me
  • close the object and go back into page creation window
  • click on the ''cell style'' icon on the top and select ''colored background'' in the background section list. I then added a black background color in the ''settings'' section.

Hi Samantha,

Thanks for the reply

There must be some glitch as I followed your instructions and I still get the same problem. Even when the looks resolved in the text object page (though it doesn't last - if I 'ok' it then go back to it it reverts back to white box) On the test website it always comes up with a white box.

It makes no difference if I have the information on a black background or a transparent one there is always a white box round the png

The same applies to the header, I've played with the settings (enabled transparency, black background etc) but no joy!

Ah-ha! There's your problem then!

You always have to update your program in order to avoid things like this!Smile

You will find the link to download it in the ''download'' section of this page (top right hand side).

(You can see what version you are using by clicking on the little arrow at the top of your WebSite, next to ''help'' - ''about website x5'').
