Can't delete content

I created a special Christmas ad and now need to remove it. So I changed the wording and previewed it and nothing changed. So I deleted the entire box and previewed it again and it still is there. I restarted the program and can see the entire box is gone but on preview it is still there. I must figure this out right away can someone offer a solution as soon as possible? Thank You.

Before you start x5, empty the folders Preview and Upload.

I can't even add anything to my homepage , when I add it it shows what I put in I save it then upload and nothing shows. I checked with my hosting company and everything looks ok there.
I am able to delete and add content on any other page but not the home page upload it and all is fine but not on the homepage. Is the software corrupted? Thank you to anyone that can help I have got to get the Christmas stuff off my site in a hurry. Thank You

Can you please post the link to your website?
Have you tried to press CTRL while you click on preview? Once uploaded press CTRL + F5 when you watch the website to clear the local cache your browser made of the website so that you can see the updated page.
