Step styles text colour  en

In the e-commerce section I would like to use the step styles, but fail to see a way how to change the text colour here. I would like to use white text as everywhere on the website that I am designing. Is there a way how to do it in the settings or do I have to edit the styles.xml manually for each project? Martin

Hello Martin,

At the moment it is not possible to change automatically the color od the text in the step styles.

I would like to suggest that you open an "Idea" Post where you describe to us the feature you would like to see implemented in the future releases of WebSite X5.

the only way is to edit it manually but with every export it will be overwritten.

Many thanks!

And what if I edit the file not on the website, but directly in the installation folder of X5?

Hello Martin,

You need to edit the exported html files and in the installation folder you will not find it.

Many thanks!

What about

C:\Program Files (x86)\WebSite X5 v10 - Professional\Res\CartImages\StepsStyles\styles.xml

???

Hello Martin,

Make a backup copy of this file before you start to edit it. You will need to find the exact point where it has to be changed and then check if it appears correctly. Keep a backup copy of the original file in case it gives you any error messages.

Many thanks!

Hi Claudio,

so I found it, didn´t I? :-)

I always backup stuff before editing.

I intend create a small library with different styles.xml files prepared for different colour schemes matching my templates and replace the file respectively.

This task can be easily automated with the use of automation software like Automate.
