Think I've lost the original project file, but I still have all the dfferent html files, am I able to open these html files and edit them with the software please?

No unfortunatly that's not possible.
Try to see if you have a backup:

If not you can use the data of the html files but thats about it, you have to make a fresh start with a new project.
Hope you will find a backup automaticly made by x5 !
