Sorry, I found the solution to my 2nd example.  I still need a solution for my first example though.  Also, i have another question, sorry lol.

Is there a way where the customer can type in a coupon code and instead of receiving a percentage discount, he gets a fixed amount discounted off his total order?

so far coupon works with percentage, unless you create a coupon for a product.

for next order coupon, you just need to send them their coupon, after they place their first purchase, you can include that into their tank you email, or send it manualy.

you can not put a date or time on the coupons, if it exist, and know it, they can use it!

thats why I suggest, either include the coupon code to their last confirmation page (after payment confirmation page) or send it to them by email.

this should be you next question (in a next day, or next week) so I will go ahead and anser it for you now

once they have a coupon, they can use it anytime, you can not limit them to use their coupon once or twice, only way to get rid of it, is to remove the coupon from database!

Ah, as I work on my website, i'm discovering a lot more features that doesn't seem to be available.  I just spent $300.00 on the pro version specifically for the use of coupons and so far (if these features are really not available) I can't do 2/3 of what I intended to do with coupons.

Next issue:  How do i add multiple coupons to the same item?  For example, there are 2 different coupons with 2 different results.  One could be $5 off, the other could be $20 off.

Are these features not available?  If yes, please instruct.

Thanks for your help Anthony, I think i'll be getting that refund now =\.  Was hoping for a nice coupon checkout, this one is way too limited.  I figured the professional being more than double the price of evolution would at least provide a coupon function that took more than 2 hours of software development.
