Non visible page labels for visitors, one access database  en

We have a organisation where we have one main group and below them sub groups. Every person in the organisation are in the main group. Some people have more access and can be in a sub group. When a visitor goes to the main site they shall not see the main groups or sub groups home pages labels. It must not be visible. When a person make a log in then that person can see the main group names of the pages. Depending on which group the person belongs to then these pages labels are visible to that person. I can make it work today but everyone can see every page labels on the whole site which I do not want of security reasons. I can solve it with 2 or more pages but that leads me to a problem with multiple access management to attend. Best if I could use one database for the access register for multiple pages. I can work around it but gives me problem when export the home page.

go to step4>style and models and from dropdown menu choose page path and remove the checkmark. make sure all of your pages are hidden and locked.

create a custom link for users who have access to other pages, and place the link inside their main page, so they can click on it to take them to otherpages that they can access.

In the page path the checkmark was removed.

What I understand is that the Menu items that I don't want others to see is also invisible for those who should see it?

I want the menu labels to be seen for those who have right for it and invisible for they who should not have access to the menus/pages.

When I made a test with Firefox it did not work. When I tried it on Opera then I could log in but I saw nothing but when I clicked on a sub menu to ONE of the main menu then the labels appeard and I could choose to click on menues or sub menues. Why does it not show in Firefox but in Opera sporadic and not freely?

you have only 2 options with x5 menu

if you dont set the page "hide" then no matter what, everyone can see the menu and can click on it.

if you set them to not visible, then nobody will see it.

In your case, if that was my website, I would set it for hidden, then I would add a pages that I want to be visible to some users as a link inside their main entry page.(you can just simply use text object and write the pages name and link then to that page) then you can copy/page that text object inside everypage that they have permission to access.
