Unable to update or add new content

Message says no internet connection, try again later. I have been doing this for several weeks now and still unable to log in. I have added new content which I am unable to publish, as well as updating software. My internet works for everything else so internet connection is not the problem.

Could your firewall cause problems, try one with firewall off.
is passive on or off, try also to switch this option.
