How can I reduce the height of the boxes in Dynamic Content?
Gepostet am
Duncan,
I don't see any contents on your page. Add info in the boxes (especialy text boxes) to correctly see them.
I don't know how you set it up. If you used my example then it uses the same height as the text and picture object next to it.
You can play around with boxex (add row's or colums) but I need a more detailed site to see what you mean.
I ussaly coulor the background of objects with different colours just for testing to see what box does what ..... and like i wrote in my tutorial start of with 1 church untill this is good, and then move on.
So if this does not help, make a prtscrn of your -in step3- page creation.
Best Regards, André

Every file type I choose says this type of file cannot be uploaded.
Strange, the file should be smaller then 1 MB then it shoulld always work.... (see the question marke next to upload field.
I made a small vertical version as well with login in the header. see my page !

That is still http://steeplewood.lydbury.co.uk/services-this-month.php
Duncan,
Sorry I am not clear I ment a prtscrn from x5 the page where you have set the dynamic content.
I checked your code and I see about 40 or more objects with dynamic content ? You needed six ? Anyway its way to many as far as I can see it but the layout of x5 of that page would help..
But it looks you have 9 horizontal and then 6 levels down thats 9x6 = 54 dynamic content boxes ?
Can you tell me what you would like, or how you would like it to have ? I made 2 examples for you, let me know what according to these you would like and what needs to be changed.
See 'testing pages' and 'dynamic content' on my test site.
THX !

Thank you again.
I need that many boxes as I have 6 churches lus a column for the date and a column for other servcies for 6 Sundays (current month plus first Sunday of next month).
See http://steeplewood.lydbury.co.uk/services-this-month.php
I can force the boxes smaller by using box height but would prefer it if it were automatic.
Duncan
Well automticly is not possible -or better yet, it is automaticle but not in the way you want it.....-, it takes the same heigth as objects next to it automaticly and adds a little space for comment automaticly.
But why all the boxes you can set all that information for 1 church in to 1 box.
Or do you have different people ? if there are 6 users or 8 then you should be fine wit 6 or 8 boxes, you can set all that information in 1 box.
But if you want to make it like an excel sheet (and I think that is what you want) then I can imagine you use more boxes.
Remember to make as many login as you have people, the same person can be used to edit more than 1 box, this saves time ....
Goodluck, if you have more questions let me know.

Thanks André,
Just one last...
How could I do all the information for each church in one box when I need to line up the services for each church for each Sunday?
I think I am getting there though!
It's a really good feature and I have jumped in at the deep end!
Duncan
Yes, you have, it's the best way to learn.
But take care of my tip; create first for 1 church a good working template then copy and adjust settings, it will save time and gives you better view. (you set a dummy next to it for overview if needed, but work on 1. And set the borders if you work with multiple objects. this helps to give you a good overview of your page.
If you need to line them up then yes, you are correct, you need multiple boxes. But you can also agree with users to keep a similar format in one box, but thats up to you, and the info you need. The less boxes the less complex offcource. But sometimes it's not always usefull or logical. So you eed to make a deision on that yourself.
Again, goodluck and don't hesitate to ask ... no problem in helping out.
