Because of a Computer crash i have lost my backup of the homepage i was working on.
But it still exist as an aktiv hompage.

How can i download it from the net so i can continue working on it?
Or is there a way to import it from the net directly into WebsiteX5?

Kind regards

Hello Dennis,

It is not possible to import a page from the web into WebSite X5.  At best you could copy any text and images which you can salvage from the existing page, and paste them into the various Text and Image Objects, etc. in the program.

If by any chance you manage to recover your backup files from a damaged drive then you can use the following procedure to restore:

https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/post/47713

Follow the instructions for version 10, substituting '11' for '10' in the folder paths, etc.

Otherwise I am afraid you will have to start from scratch.  Be sure to take regular backups of any new projects, and store them on various media remote from your PC...  for example, on external hard drives, USB sticks, in the cloud (Dropbox, etc)  -  in this way you will always be able to restore easily and quickly in future, should the worst happen.

Good luck.

Paul

The function is already there Dennis, and has been for several successive releases.

It is up to the individual user to implement it, and take responsibility and ownership in performing and storing regular backups.

This is something which Incomedia have no control over, for obvious reasons.
