Drop down menu opening behind video

Hi, I have inserted a video on my home page, but when I click on the drop down menu it opens behind the video and not in front. I read that another user had a similar problem with the drop down menu opening behind a PDF and this was attributed to settings in IE. Im using Chrome, would this be the same problem? And is there a fix for it? Thank you

What type of video format did you use?
It usually depends on the plugin used to view the video. If you use a format as example like mp4 which is natively supported this will not happen since the html5 video player will not have be set in front of all the other content.
