I see on the map creation page you can create hidden pages when these pages are uploaded are they visible to the search engines and indexed like a standard web page?

Hiding a page in WebSite X5 removes it from the menus but does not exclude it from the XML sitemap.
If you wish to prevent search engines from crawling a page then you should remove that page from the sitemap, and also add an exclusion to your robots.txt file:
