Version 13 is going back in time.  en

My wife and I are both using Version 13 Evolution on 2 different computers running Windows 10.  We have both had the same problem numerous times.  And after having this happen the first time we are being very careful about saving and exiting the program correctly.

The problem is that we save and exit.  Then the next time we start Website X5 and want to continue to create we find that the data set or pages (I meen hundreds and structure in the map), we just created and saved previously have disappeared.  After much gnaching of teeth, I try to restore using the restore copy in Step 5, only to find the pages are still missing.

Once I can understand, but on both computers on differeent projects and more than once is like enemy action. Thousands of files are devloped into the site and only 1 backup file matters *.iwzip  Yes a 1 or 0 gets mixed up on the platters or in ram and it is tear time.

Most of the time everything is working well, then BANG!  We have had this occur sometimes as the program hangs, and after many minutes of waiting never comes back to life you just bury the ghost.

One project has 2,000 pages and the other has 4,700 pages, both are still growing.  This is very frustrating.  We are getting tried of typing and cutting/pasting the same items over and over and over agsin.

Does anyone have an idea?

Hello James,

Did you change the project folder settings in the preferences of the program or are these saved on the default folder in Documents/Incomedia/WebSite X5 v13 - Evolution/ ?

Do you receive any error message when you open the project or does it opens normally but the content is no longer present?

Many thanks!

In response to Claudio D,  We are using defaulf folder and are not receiving any error messages.  My wife and I both haves had instances after a normal opening the contents has regressed to a previous ending point, losing a few days of entering information.

Thanks, James

Hello James,

Do you receive any error message? what exactly happens?

Do the program stops responding?

Did you perhaps notice this happening on a specific function in the program?

Many thanks!
