A Windows 10 update stopped Evolution 13 from loading last month. I raised this as a problem. The only way to get it working again was to re-set Windows 10 - which of course removed all programs. I reloaded all programs including Evolution 13 and everything was working fine
Windows 10 just have downloaded an update to my laptop - and this has again stopped Evolution 13 from loading.
I understand from a post by Samantha at Incomedia https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/es/post/159830 that this is a known problem and Incomedia developers are working on a solution.
Would you please be so kind as to update me on progress - so I can decide if I need to re-set Windows 10 again or wait for a fix.

While you are waiting you could try a simpler interim measure. Go to control panel, system, system protection and see if there is a restore point prior to the windows update, if so this will get you through the christmas break. I have done this with a Windows update that insisted on breaking my home network on 3 separate occasions. I have subsequently disabled all windows updates as an interim measure.
Hello Malcolm,
the issue reported on the post you mentioned is not related to a windows update but to another program called Lavasoft Webcompanion which is silently installed and blocks WebSite X5 from starting correctly.
Did you check if on your computer you have this program installed?
you can try the procedure described on following post to remove this program:

Thank you for geting back to me on this issue.
I now find that failure for Evolution V13 to load was not in fact related to a Windows update at all. My fault - sorry. The culprit is indeed Web Companion from Lavasoft.
Via Control Panel I found the program called 'Web Companion' and simply uninstalled it. Version 13 now loads perfectly. I didn't need to follow post /157225.
Brilliant service. Hope Christmas was good to you and all the very best for the remainder of 2016 and the New Year.
Hello Malcolm,
I'm glad to hear the issue could be sorted out by simply uninstalling Lavasoft.
Many thanks for informing us.
