Hello! If I create a website for a client is there any way the client can do editing on pages ( add goods to the shop, change banners, post adverts on certain pages, edit news etc) if the client does not have WX5 and with no knowledge of html editing. Do I understand it correctly that the client cannot run the website without my help afterwards and every time the client needs to update information on site it must ask me to do it. Is there any plugin to create a simple control panel for a client to be able to do at least simple editing?

Thank you!

As of now, the easiest is either they buy the software and maintain it themselves or you do it for them. Alternatively, using Dynamic Objects from Professional 13 but for very basic edits like text, images, links. But it won't do most of the things you mentioned.

The Website X5 Control Panel for Admins isn't meant for editing content like a CMS either.

You could potentially use a third party content management system for HTML websites. But it requires setting up and adding code to every element you want to be editable. Your client would be able to edit most things but there would be some instances they would need to be taught to get into the code. For example, copying/pasting code for adding new products etc... A lot more time and work initially but even then it may not be perfect. Hence the easiest is probably owning the software and either you or the client making changes themselves.

Dear Джамиииля,

thank you for your message.

I must unfortunately confirm what Alvin has stated: if your customers needs to edit the website themselves, they will need to buy the software, as any modification requires the use of the program. The Dynamic Content Obejt is an exception, as it will give your customers to edit images and texts in their space.

I thank you for understing. Kind regards.
