Responsive design help/ tab on smartphone or ipad drop down menu help

I purchased the website yesterday and have 2 questions regarding website x5evolution 13. I signed up with a2 hosting and have put my website on the internet the link is athleticperformanceedge.com. i have run into a few problems.
1) the header/menu doesnt work properly when the website is used on a smartphone or tablet. I clicked used responisve site but cant figure out to get the menu or header scaled to size under 1080p
2) leading me to my next problem- the menu on smartphone or tablet is all the way to the right and my submenu's dont show up unless I click twice which isnt gonna be very user freindly for my clients.

In preview you can create a smaller view the viewports for that are coloured above with a line.
To adjust these viewport seperatly goto step 2 template then template customization, then select header and footer and check the left side for the same colours and set your template there to the view you have in preview.
You can select also the menu there and position.
The size can be set in main menu style, but this sets all sizes. So set your preview to the smallest size you wish a normal menu for and adjust size then all bigger size's will have this menu. all smaller wil then be the responsive menu (hamburger menu)
Make a backup of the project so you can alsways fall back if you plan to make big changes.
