Help me get my evo 13 to work

I still after more than 3 months get my evo 13 to work as it should.
Help neede like yesteday

When I double click on theevo 13 icon on my desktop it starts up but efter a few seconds the error message shows on the screen and it says
Evo 13 has stopped working and the program is shuting down

Dont feel alone Stefan ! The same for me, It is not possible for me to use V13 in a normal way since my v13 upgrade. At first I could'nt import, then nice tech was helping me to import and we finaly succeeded a bit by chance I guess. Since V13 first implementation I'm fighting against a very slow motion of v13 - everything is slow... and since the very latest upgrade It is even more worse, it takes me 20 mns to open and 20 mn to save ... I so spend env. 45 mns to open and close without any modification to my site - just open and close ! And each time I try to open again, the same thing happen.
Not to get crazy, I so decided to wait to buy a new laptop with SSD hoping that it is a matter of technology? (mine is core 5 driven, 5 years old and run with Windows7-64).
I'm so buzy this time that the slow behavier of V13 forbide me to use Website X5 since the day one of V13 installation, too bad for my site (my latest Edito is January 17) - but as I don't not feel like Killing someone, I'm not trying using my site (Well I try sometine to see if some patch are doing better ... but not so far). The good thing is that I learnt to get ZEN which is globaly a good thing :) - Indeed Everyting was quick and perfect with V12, and the hell came with day 1 of V13 implementation with no any other modification (soft /hard) from my side. I guess Incomedia should look at who was responsable of V13 updates :) - Take care
Stefan, have you downloaded the latest version of WX5 V13 through your profile and done a full install?
If the problem still exists, have you tried running windows without any startup programs?

Don't forget the infamous "Web Companion" issue. If that is installed on your system (and this can happen WITHOUT you realising it because it comes bundled with someother stuff that you might have installed) then you get that error message.
Use the search function in Windows to look for "Web Companion" or possibly a "Lavasoft" install. It sorted out my issue when the same thing happened to me.
Stefan, Wayne is absolutely correct. This has been such an issue there is a guide dedicated to it as well.

I don't see any posts from you relating to unrealistic slowness in opening and closing projects. A number of users have had issues, none to my knowledge were actually caused by V13, and I believe most if not all users have resolved their problem. Why not start a new post so we can try and address your issue?

Sorry for keeping you waiting.
I confirm what Wayne said, please go to the Windows Control Panel and look for a program called "Lavasoft Web Companion". This particular program can cause compatibility issues, so please uninstall it, if you find it. If you're still having troubles despite that, or if you cannot find the program in question, then I kindly ask you to post a screenshot of the error message you get.

@Marc, salut! I am so sorry to read about the difficulties you have expercienced with out software! I can understand your anger well: it is extremely frustrating to purchase something and to have issues with it. You satisfaction is very close to our heart, so I would like to kindly ask you to open a separate post about the speed issue you have described here: give us as many details as you can, including the size of your project. We will do our best in order to solve the issue. You have the right to be able to work properly with the software, we just need a bit of cooperation from both sides. Meanwhile, you could try and disable all the programms which normally run in the backgroud, this will contribute in sparing resources and saving time.
Salut Marc, je t'écrie en français aussi. Je suis vraiment très désolée de lire que t'as eu des problèmes avec notre logiciel. Je comprends ta colère: c'est frustrant d'achter quelque chose et puis d'avoir des problèms! Comment ta satisfaction est très important pour nous, je te demande gentilement d'écrire un autre post concernent la question du lenteur que vous avez décrit ici: donne-nou les plus details possibles, aussi la taille du projet. Nous ferons de notre mieux pour résoundre la situation. Entre-temp, essaye de desactiver les programmes qui normalement sont actif dans le backgroud, ça va aider à économiser des ressources et gagner du temps.

I don´t have any unrealistic slowness and i do not have lavasoft web companion on my computer.
This is the worst web buildning software ever fix it a give me a free fully working download of that software

Have you tried creating a new user and then installing it in the new profile to see if that cures the problem?
. . . and did you try running WX5 without any startup programs?

You may also wish to (temporarily) disable all internet access and anti-virus/firewall programs when starting WX5.
There is an issue on your PC and we just need to identify it.

I am so sorry to hear about that.
Have you followed Esahc's useful suggestion? Does it help? In oder to understand the situation in depth and to provide you with better support I kindly ask you to send me a screenshot of the error message you get. Are you sure you do not have the program Lavasoft Web Companion? Have you checked on your Windows Control Panel? Please, try, as Esahc said, to disable your firewall and antivirus programmes, it seems like there's something blocking the necessary connections.

I have payed for a software i can´t use.
I have also sent screenshots via mail to someone in your company and i still haven´t got my moneys worth.
Fix the problem and it should be as easy to install as all other versions.

Stefan, sadly there are no screen shots :-(
Since all else has failed, is it possible for you to go to the windows control panel, administrative tools, computer management, event viewer, windows logs. Now to make it easier, I recommend clearing all the logs for application and system.
Once this is done and WX5 fails to start, return to those logs and provide any information of errors back to this post so that Incomedia can take a look.
I understand your frustration, but I can assure you this is not a fault in WX5, this will be a fault in Windows, one of the support libraries, or conflicting software.

Stefan, I think it would be helpful to convince yourself that the Incomedia software is good. In order to do this, you will need to install the v.13 software on a different computer. Do you have a friend nearby who has a computer? If they are willing to let you install the software on their computer, then you would be able to see for yourself that it works very well.
Once you are satisfied that the software is fine, you can then go about fixing YOUR computer so that it gets along properly with X5 v.13. If it was me, I would do a brand new clean install of the Windows operating system. Then I would install my antivirus software. Next I would install X5 v.13 and see how it behaves.
If it works well, you can continue "re-building" your computer by installing all your regular software. You'll end up with a "clean" and uncluttered computer that will run much faster than it did before.
