I initially downloaded and built my website on my desktop. I no longer use that desktop because it has crashed and I need to now make changes to my website on my laptop. I have downloaded the program onto my laptop, however when I open the program, the projects I created on my desktop are not showing up.
Am I able to make changes to an existing project created with Website X5 using a different computer? If so, how can I add my current website (created with Website X5 v11) to my latop?

If your desktop crashed and your harddrive is not accesible anymore, and you have made no backup ups on another medium then I am afraid you need to start from scratch.
It is not possible to recreate the project of x5 from internet. you can use text and pictures to import in x5 but that is about it.
make always backups on another medium then the pc you work on in step5 export project.
These can be imported with the import button in x5 and contain all information from your website.
Corina, Andre is absolutely correct, but with a bit of luck. . .
IF you still have access to the old PC, and. . .
IF the hard disk hasn't collapsed (normally Windows enters self destuct mode without requiring HD collapse), and. . .
IF you can find an IT person with a HD dock, or perhaps buy a dock from a local PC store. . . .
Then, with luck, you can copy your documents directory to your new PC/Laptop. In the documets directory should be the Incomedia directory, and in there should be your project/s.
If you copy the Incomedia directory into your documents directory on the new PC/laptop, you should be able to open your lost projects.
. . . lots of IF's, but with a bit of luck this will save you recreating the projects
